While reading any book there are many questions. The Old Man and the Sea have many questions some that can be answered and others that can’t.

Does he fear the sharks?

I don’t believe he does fear the sharks. If he did fear the sharks I don’t think he would have the courage to fight off the sharks from his fish. He did win against most of the sharks even though they got part of the fish.

Why does he not use better equipment or technology to fish?

I think that the old man is using the best equipment that is available. Maybe there is not any better technology available to the old man then what he is using. All I know is that the old man is a very good fisherman even with the little technology that he has.
