The Old Man and the Sea.. Symbols
The Old Man and the Sea has many symbols. I think the bird symbolizes something. It could be a companion that the old man had and then lost. It could even be a symbol of the boy. You can never really be sure. I really like when Stefanie said “This stood out to me because it just really showed how much this young boy was taking care of the old man.” The boy does really seem to be important to the old man. When Kyrianna said “Symbols, a symbol is something that represents something bigger than itself.” It really does make you think about what symbols really are.
